the letter. the mission. the ride.

Family,
Brooke Starr, Kiersten Mason, and Danielle Byers here. God has given us a vision for this summer, and we are so excited to share it with you!

On May 30, we will be leaving from Church Alive on a month-long journey across the country. Sounds crazy, right? We believe 2 Corinthians 5:13-14a applies here: “If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. Either way, Christ’s love controls us.” On this journey we will be treasure hunting – for people. :) By treasure hunting we mean seeking God for clues that lead us to specific people that He wants to touch, heal, and save. We are still praying for a specific direction, but ultimately we will travel Spirit-led, going wherever God directs us. We truly believe for the miraculous!

We assure you, this is not a vacation. We will be living out of a van. Speaking of a van, we don’t have one yet, but we believe that God will provide in His perfect timing. We are not sure how often we will get to shower either, but we will include that with the miraculous. :)

How do we know this is from God? Just read Matthew chapter 10. In the beginning stages of this vision God gave us confirmation through this passage. That along with fasting, prayer, dreams, songs, people, and preaching, there is no doubt in our minds that this is God. This letter is our point of no return. If you would like to hear the specifics of our confirmation we would love to share with you in person!

Our desire is that you are just as excited as we are about what God is going to do! As your family, our needs are a van, gently used Bibles to pass out, money for gas and food, and prayer. Specifically, we ask that you pray for God’s treasures, miracles, safety, health, good weather, divine provision, and our parents (ha ha). Just so you know, all money will be used for gas, food, and possibly God’s treasures. Whatever is left will be used to bless someone else, we will not be keeping it – along with the van. If you feel led to support us financially, we ask that you make all checks payable to Kiersten Mason. Checks, along with the Bibles, can be given to us (or our parents) in person, or you may mail them to 4200 Pfeifer Farm Rd, Lafayette, IN 47909.

If you would like to follow our JOY ride, we will be setting up an online blog complete with journal entries, videos, and photos (more details to come later). After this journey we plan to combine our journals into a book full of testimonies.

Again, we are leaving from the Church Alive parking lot after the second service on May 30. We hope you will join us then in praying over the van and anointing us for the treasure hunting!
“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” -2 Corinthians 5:7

Thanks for helping! God will bless you.

Love,
Dani, Brooke, and Kiersten

  2. There is a part of me that still really wishes I could go with you guys. This is going to be such an amazing adventure for Christ. But I know that I am where God wants me right now. Know that you are in my prayers. I can not wait to hear of your journey. I'll be the first to buy the book ;)
